Its shape allows not only the nose to be in contact with the breast, but also the chin, allowing baby to smell mom's scent and touch her skin. Simply position the shield in the center of your nipple to ensure your baby can securely latch on to the entire areola. Enjoy bonding with your little one while protecting your nipples.

Designed for sensitive, sore, or painful nipples. Nipple shields are designed to provide comfort and a gentler latch for sore, cracked, or painful nipples. They can help reduce nipple friction and stretching during breastfeeding so you can comfortably give your baby your best milk.

Babies can drink at their own pace. If the mother's milk flow needs to be controlled or if the baby is lacking strength, nipple shields are also an excellent support. The three holes at the end of the shield can help assess the baby's breast milk flow in case of overproduction. This way, the baby can drink at their own pace in case the mother is experiencing hyperactive letdown.

Designed to fit. The nipple shields are available in two sizes to best fit your breast. The small shields fit from 12 mm nipple diameter and the medium up to 21 mm. To find your size, sit comfortably and place one of the perforated rings over your nipple. Turn the shield clockwise and guide your nipple into the tunnel. Then stretch the base of the shield around the areola. If there is 2 mm of space between the nipple and the silicone, this is the correct fit. Tip: Sizing is based on the nipple, not the areola. Easy to clean in the hygienic carrying case. You should clean the breast shields before each use, which takes less than 10 minutes. Immerse them in boiling water for five minutes or, if desired, use the Hygiene Case. Place both well-rinsed breast shields in the case and add 25 ml/0.9 fl. oz. of water. Then place the breast shields in a 750-1000 W microwave for three minutes. Let them cool for five minutes. Then, empty the water and they are ready to use. Use the convenient hygienic carrying case when traveling and to store your nipple shields and keep them clean.

Combining breast and bottle feeding: The ultra-thin and soft silicone material of the Philips Avent nipple shield is closer to our infant feeding solutions to allow a smooth transition between breastfeeding and bottle feeding when the two are combined.
