ELGYDIUM JUNIOR ICE AGE 7-12 years is a Tutti Frutti flavored toothpaste intended for children aged 7 to 12 years. Its dose of 14,400 ppm of fluoride, suitable for children of this age, protects the first permanent teeth against acid attacks responsible for cavities.
Caries are due to attacks on enamel and dentin by the products of sugar digestion by dental plaque bacteria. The production of these acids increases with the concentration of sugars in saliva and on the surface of the teeth.
Sugary foods, including confectionery, therefore promote cavities. Confectioneries, because they tend to “stick” to the teeth and their sugars are eliminated more slowly by the flow of saliva, are a significant risk factor for cavities.
The new permanent teeth are arriving and it's a great moment (and not just for the little mouse)! They will accompany the child throughout his life. It is therefore very important to understand now the need to take good care of it.
