The very high tolerance of this vegetable oil means that it is regularly used for washing babies or in massage, but above all for its protective virtues which make the skin more resistant to attacks from the outside.
Which gives it most of its properties is its richness in monounsaturated fatty acids, and more particularly in omega 9. The latter have many beneficial properties for the skin:
- They reinforce the hydrolipidic film, which restores elasticity and suppleness to the epidermis, but above all it helps maintain a good level of hydration within the stratum corneum, as well as making the skin less prone to irritation and tightness.
- They have nourishing properties, that is to say they help in the good constitution of the epidermis, and that they help to overcome redness and skin irregularities, which makes it one of the best allies for dry skin.
- More recent studies have also demonstrated their restorative and healing, even more effective than that of omega 3 and 6.
