Rooibos is a plant from a South African bush of the acacia family and which is used in infusion.
- Antioxidant: rooibos is traditionally consumed for its natural richness in flavonoids, a family of antioxidants. Antioxidants are essential molecules for maintaining good health and preventing many diseases.
- Gastrointestinal discomfort: one of the potential health benefits of rooibos was discovered in 1970, when a South African woman managed to relieve her child of intestinal ailments using this plant. These are the flavonoids which have a soothing action on the intestinal system.
- Sleep: rooibos (due to its total absence of theine) does not prevent you from sleeping, quite the contrary. It is ideal at the end of the day because it would help promote sleep by fighting against insomnia.
